Can you walk the slack line like one of the Tuburan children? 😉 I tried, and lasted for 5 seconds before the expected fall – several falls. Up to now, I haven’t reached the other side but one day I will!
Walking the slack line is one of the activities children in Tuburan enjoy! Through movement, children are able to familiarize themselves with their bodies, and in the process, allow themselves to learn how to move in the world and have a sense of balance. All these “lessons” are not taught academically. These are learned by walking the line. The children are also not graded for successfully reaching the other end. When they fall, they try again. When they cannot walk it yet, they are allowed not to. In time, they might be ready.
